Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program

  • 12 weeks at the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM)
  • Application usually due early September
  • Open to non US citizens

AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships

  • 1-2 years in federal government in Washington DC area
  • Application due early November
  • Must have completed PhD or MS in Engineering (+ 3 years professional experience) to apply

American Institute of Physics (AIP) State Department fellowship

  • Similar to the AAAS policy fellowship program, must have a PhD to begin the fellowship (but not to apply)
  • 1-2 years working in the Department of State
  • Application usually due mid-October

Congressional Science Fellowships sponsored by a AAAS-partner society

Presidential Management Fellowship

  •  Two-year fellowship at a United States government agency
  • Open to all graduate degrees
  • Application usually due October

Knauss fellowship

  • Open to all graduates interested in marine/coastal science policy
  • Application due in February

California Council on Science and Technology Science Fellows

  • One year working in California Congressional offices
  • Must have PhD to begin fellowship
  • Application due in February
